Stillhouse Lake by Rachel Caine is a must read! Note: This is book one of a two part series.

Synopsis:
Gwen, aka Gina Royal, is the ex-wife of a serial killer. When he’s caught, Gwen tries to keep her kids safe, forced to move and change identities each time the crazy internet stalkers find them.

Finally feeling comfortable and settling her kids into a place where they can lead real lives again, Gwen is faced with indecision and fear when a dead body turns up.

Will Gwen grab her kids and run, or will she stay and fight her fears?

My Review:
I could NOT put this book down! I became quickly immersed in the life of Gwen and her children. I was literally on the edge of my seat for most of the story.

Rachel Caine kept me guessing the whole time. Who murdered the girl in the lake? Once I thought I had figured it out, my theory would change again and again. The reasons to trust and distrust so many different characters spun me in a wonderful web of suspense.

I highly recommend this book. Rachel Caine’s writing is absolutely amazing and detailed. She shows the emotions of her characters extremely well. The characters and situations were completely believable and I didn’t find myself questioning much at all.
